This mural features trompe l'oeil stonewok and pierced
walls with Italianate landscapes. The skirting boards, architraves
and dado rail are real but the panels below the dado and the curved
pediments above the doors are trompe l'oeil.
The closet doors become a sunny balcony.
Turning to the left the walls appear to be barely
standing and another sunny terrace helps make up for the lack
of real windows
Above the door in the previos picture are some real
mouldings but within them is a trompe l'oeil oculus with a rare
London sparrow perched on the edge.
The main terrace. The beam in the top left of the
picture separates the sloping ceiling under the next flight of
stairs from the wall and acts as a prop for the tumbling wall
to the left of the picture
